Centuries-Old Market Tradition

The Vareler Kramermarkt has a long history. Like many traditional markets in Lower Saxony, it dates back to historical trade privileges and has evolved over the centuries from a pure goods market to a folk festival. Today, the entertainment aspect is paramount, without forgetting its market roots.

Four Days of Festivities

The program is spread over four days – from Friday to Monday. This makes the Kramermarkt one of the longer markets in the region and offers ample time to visit multiple times.

Showmen and Rides

Classic showman businesses bring rides, game stalls, and food stands to Varel's city center. From the chain carousel to bumper cars, roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and modern adrenaline rides, the full spectrum is represented.

Market Stalls
