Overview
The Urban-Run Recklinghausen 2025 was held for the first time or in an earlier edition through the city centre, with start and finish at the Ruhrfestspielhaus. The approximately 10 km route led runners past the Kunsthalle and City Hall – an experience run for hobby runners and ambitious amateur athletes, not a classic fun run.
Looking back at 2025
Even in 2025, the format proved that urban experience runs find a growing audience. Instead of monotonous circuits, Urban-Run focuses on the connection between sport and urban identity: those who run here get to know their city from a new perspective.
