Overview

The 30th anniversary edition of the Environmental Market in Sophienstraße in 2025 played with its own history: a special exhibition "30 Years of Berlin's Eco-Advent Market" with pictures, posters, and reports from three decades. Around 80 exhibitors, consistently high organic share, additional live music contributions on each Advent Sunday.

For its 30th anniversary in 2025, the market featured its own historical exhibition: old photos from the late nineties, press quotes from the 1996 Environmental Award, portraits of regular exhibitors. Sophienstraße was framed by small light installations that playfully celebrated the concept of mandatory LED lighting.

The turnout, with around 38,000 visitors, was at the previous year's level, and the weather was clear and wintery to slightly snowy. Organizer EVENTS-R. Bielefeldt spoke at the end of one of the most cohesive years since its inception.
