Overview

The 2025 Tübingen Stocherkahnrennen took place on Corpus Christi, June 19, 2025, on the Neckar River. Over 40 punting boats with 8-person teams participated in the traditional spectacle. The losing team of 2025 — the Alte Straßburger Burschenschaft Germania — is responsible for organizing the 2026 race according to Tübingen tradition.

Stocherkahnrennen 2025

The 2025 edition of the Tübingen Stocherkahnrennen on Corpus Christi, June 19, 2025, attracted thousands of spectators to the Neckar as every year. Over 40 boats participated, from student fraternities and residences to Tübingen sports clubs and citizen groups. The costume parade at 1 p.m. and the race start at 2 p.m. followed the traditional schedule.

The losing team of 2025 was the Alte Straßburger Burschenschaft Germania — they received the traditional half-liter of cod liver oil per person and are thus responsible for organizing the 2026 race.
