Edition 2025 — TU Summer Fest 80 Years

In 2025, TU Berlin also hosted a summer festival on its central campus. The 2025 event marked the university's 79th anniversary and served as preparation for the major 80th-anniversary celebration in 2026. Live music, street food stalls, and exchanges between the university, politics, and business characterized the evening. With the year of re-founding in 1946 as a marker, the annual summer festival carries special historical significance — a conscious break from the problematic past of the Royal Technical University.

The 2025 edition continued the annual TU Summer Festival format: a late afternoon program on campus with live music, street food, and networking. With the major 80th anniversary in 2026 in view, the 2025 event was seen as a dress rehearsal — logistics, program structure, and the registration system were tested. The Summer Festival remains an important format for academic Berlin and one of the capital's few major university festivals.
