Overview

The 2nd Traunreuter Kirta took place from October 16 to 26, 2025, on the Traunreut market square. For the first time, Kirchweih Monday (October 20) was conceived as a »Day of the Economy« – an extended festival format with an opening on Thursday, several festival days around Kirchweih Sunday, and a bridging day on Monday.

For the 2nd edition in 2025, the format of the Traunreuter Kirta was significantly expanded. It opened on Thursday, October 16, with a traditional beer tapping; the Alpenblick Quintett provided the musical opening with Oberkrainer sound. On Friday, Traunsound performed with Austropop, folk songs, and current hits.

On the newly designed market square, a central alpine hut, regional bands, and traditional delicacies shaped the scene. Kirchweih Monday (October 20) was designated for the first time in 2025 as a Day of the Economy, involving the local business community. The festival lasted until Sunday, October 26, 2025, with reduced festival operations on Kirchweih Sunday and some weekdays.

Admission was free. Reporting on the 2nd edition was done by the City of Traunreut, the Traunsteiner Tagblatt, and the regional daily press.
