Overview

In 2025, the Kirmesburschen once again hosted the traditional Kirmes in Zeitlofs in November. With the erection of the decorated Kirmesbaum on Saturday, a church service and feast on Sunday, and the Weißwurstfrühstück on Monday at the Fränkischer Hof, the Franconian Kirchweih customs were once again brought to life.

The 2025 Kirmes continued the tradition passed down through generations: the Kirmesburschen fetched the Kirmesbaum from the forest, decorated it, and ceremoniously erected it in the village centre on Saturday. Sunday featured a church service and a communal feast, followed by the traditional Weißwurstfrühstück on Monday at the Fränkischer Hof.

As every year, the Kirmes was a social highlight for the market town of Zeitlofs and an expression of the region's vibrant tradition at the transition between the Rhön and Spessart.
