Overview

In 2025, the Christmas Sharpshooters and costume societies of the Berchtesgaden region also marched through the historic market of Berchtesgaden for the grand Jahrtag. A festive Mass, a procession with over a thousand participants in traditional costume, and the traditional supporting program marked this day of living tradition.

The Trachten- und Schützenjahrtag in Berchtesgaden in 2025 was celebrated in July. As every year, the United Christmas Sharpshooter Societies and the costume societies gathered for the festive church service, followed by the grand procession through the pedestrian zone and Maximiliansstraße. Over a thousand participants in traditional costume, accompanied by the local music bands, made the day an impressive testament to Upper Bavarian tradition. The Gauheimatabend and the commemoration of the deceased completed the program.
