Edition 2025 — Torgau leuchtet
The second edition of "Torgau leuchtet" took place from September 26 to 28, 2025. With the motto "From Torgau for Torgau" for the Saturday evening light parade, the "Sündenfrei" medieval market in the Hartenfels Castle courtyard, the Ferris wheel, and the culture quarter, the city festival set new standards for Torgau.

In 2025, "Torgau leuchtet" established itself as the annual city festival of the Renaissance city. With the Saturday evening light parade, the medieval market in the Hartenfels Castle courtyard, the "Wenn Schatten flüstern" shadow theater, and the Friday shopping night, the festival attracted thousands of visitors to the old town.
The combination of the historic Renaissance backdrop and a modern light event with citizen participation once again made the festival the cultural highlight of late summer in Nordsachsen.
