Overview

In 2025, the Tittmoning Georgiritt also took place on the Sunday after Georgi (April 27). Around 200 horses, teams of horses, and riding groups from the Rupertiwinkel and Salzburg regions paraded from Tittmoning town square to St. George's Church Kirchheim. The festive service, blessing of the horses, and supporting program continued the centuries-old tradition.

Georgi Sunday in 2025 fell on April 27. With mostly good spring weather, the riding groups and teams of horses gathered in Tittmoning town square from midday, and at exactly 2 p.m., the procession set off through the Laufener Tor.

The blessing of the horses at St. George's Church Kirchheim, the spiritual highlight of the pilgrimage, attracted hundreds of visitors as it does every year. The traditional festival day is jointly organized by the St. Georgsverein Tittmoning-Kirchheim, the town of Tittmoning, and the traditional costume and riding clubs of the region.
