Overview

2025 was the year of final preparations for the Thuringian State Garden Show 2026. Themed gardens were laid out, paths paved, stages erected, and the multimedia Wüstung Kirrode project completed on the future grounds in Leinefelde-Worbis in the Eichsfeld region.

Construction Phase 2025 – Preparations for the LGS

The year 2025 in Leinefelde-Worbis was entirely dedicated to preparations for the 5th Thuringian State Garden Show. The LGS GmbH coordinated the creation of themed gardens, the development of the festival grounds, the construction of the open-air stage, and the restoration of historic buildings along Wartburgallee and in the old town of Worbis.

A central project was the conceptualization of the multimedia experience world around Wüstung Kirrode – a medieval, abandoned village being digitally revived with LEADER funding. Accompanying public events, open construction site days, and preview concerts marked the construction phase.

No official admission period in 2025. Public days and open construction site days were free of charge.
