Overview

On June 21, 2025, the Rablinghausen-Seehausen parish celebrated the third baptism festival at the Weserdeich under the motto "Heavenly Gift Baptism." On the sandy beach of Weseruferpark, 13 children were baptized under the open sky, and around 120 guests accompanied the families. Music, cake, and ice cream created a summery atmosphere.

Under the motto "Heavenly Gift Baptism," the 2025 baptism festival was entirely focused on families. 13 children were baptized, and around 120 guests – parents, godmothers, grandparents, and friends – gathered on the beach of Weseruferpark Rablinghausen.

Music by the Water

Live music accompanied the festival service and the individual baptism ceremonies. Pastor Hannah Detken led the celebration; baptisms were performed both with water from the Weser and directly in the river, depending on the families' wishes. Afterwards, the baptism festival offered cake, ice cream, and conversations on the beach until late afternoon.
