Edition 2025 — Taucha Christmas Markets
In 2025, the Taucha Christmas Markets once again delighted visitors with their dual structure, featuring a classic market at the Market Square and a medieval market at Rittergut Castle. The «Riesentaucher Stollenschnitt», Santa Claus's mailbox, and the Christmas bazaar in the Kulturscheune attracted families from the northern Leipzig metropolitan area to Taucha.
The 2025 edition confirmed the successful format: two locations, the illuminated Leipziger Straße as a connection, and a mix of classic and medieval Christmas markets. The Taucha city administration and the Taucha Castle Association organized the weekend in cooperation.
The combination of a classic family market and atmospheric castle ambiance makes Taucha particularly unique in the Nordsachsen Advent calendar — and is a key reason why the town is regularly crowded on the first Advent weekend.
