Dance Festival of the German Dance Company at the Schliemann Museum — Edition 2025

Over the first weekend of August, the 2025 Dance Festival of the German Dance Company continued the tradition of open-air dance performances in the museum park of the Schliemann Museum Ankershagen, established in 2022. The internationally composed ensemble presented a varied program combining modern dance theatre, step dance, waltz, and neoclassical ballet.

The performance choreographically linked historical and literary themes with contemporary dance language – in the spirit of Heinrich Schliemann, whose childhood home provides the setting for the summer format. Catering was available in the park, doors opened in the early evening, and the performance began at 7:30 p.m. As every year, the German Dance Company, based in Neustrelitz, was the organizer.
