Tanz in den Mai — Degersen Tradition at the Sports Ground

The Tanz in den Mai on April 30th has a long tradition in many villages in Lower Saxony. In Degersen, a district of the Wennigsen municipality on the Deister, SV Degersen e.V. organises the dance night in the marquee at the sports ground. The sports club uses the format as a social and financial pillar — proceeds go towards club activities and future festivals.

Mitchy & André Katawazi are known in Northern Germany as a party and schlager act — they bring the typical mix of German-language schlager, sing-along hits, and party classics to the stage. Toddi Reed complements the offering with rock and pop, while DJ Kieran introduces a special idea with the jukebox concept: Over 1,000 songs are available to choose from, and the audience decides what is played.
