Overview

The Tag des guten Lebens 2025 took place, as usual, in mid-September in a district of Cologne. Again in 2025, citizen initiatives, clubs, artists, and educators transformed a complete neighbourhood into a car-free, participatory festival zone for 24 hours — with over 100 individual activities.

Since 2013, the Tag des guten Lebens has been moving through Cologne's neighbourhoods, making the concept of a city shaped by its citizens a reality for 24 hours. The 2025 edition once again showed the creative potential within a neighbourhood when public space is opened up and initiative is encouraged.

Programme

Car-free neighbourhood festival with over 100 activities from citizen initiatives, clubs, and artists. Workshops, music, performances, discussions, family picnics, and play activities for children and young people.
