Swing on the Bodden
Swing Breeze is Ribnitz-Damgarten's annual summer tribute to the music and fashion of the pre- and post-war years. Right in Ribnitz harbour, at the transition between the town centre and the Saaler Bodden, lovers of swing, jazz, and historic mobility gather for a weekend of live bands, dance classes, and vintage atmosphere.
Two Days, Two Moods
Saturday is concert day: gramophone DJ sets, big band performances, and live dance classes fill the harbour. On Sunday, classic cars dominate the scene – saloons, convertibles, and motorcycles are presented before setting off on the traditional tour. A big band provides the musical accompaniment.
Between Harbour and Bodden
Ribnitz-Damgarten belongs to the Vorpommern-Rügen district and is located directly on the western shore of the Saaler Bodden. Ribnitz harbour, with its view of the water, offers the ideal backdrop for a festival that captures the elegance of past decades. Swing Breeze is organised by the town itself – admission is free.

Swing Breeze — edition 2026
Swing Breeze 2026
The next edition of Swing Breeze will take place on the weekend of July 11 and 12, 2026, in Ribnitz Harbour. The exact programme will be announced in advance on the Amber Town's channels.
The concept remains the same: a concert day on Saturday with live bands, dance classes, and a gramophone DJ set, plus a classic car meeting with a tour and musical accompaniment by a big band on Sunday. Admission to all events is free.

The detailed 2026 lineup will be announced in early summer 2026 on bernsteinstadt.de and via the festival channels. As in previous years, the following structure is expected:

Sunday — Classic Car Meeting

Getting There
By train: Ribnitz-Damgarten West station, from there a short walk to the harbour.
By car: Take the B105 to Ribnitz-Damgarten, follow signs towards the harbour.

If you wish, come in the vintage style of the 1930s to 1950s – points are awarded for style, not for strictness.
