Independent, volunteer-run Indie and Electro Festival in Seeliger Park, Wolfenbüttel
The Summertime Festival originated in 2011 from a group of Wolfenbüttel music enthusiasts and has been organized without commercial structures to this day. Everyone involved – from the booker to the backstage catering – works on a voluntary basis; every cent flows back into the festival itself. This commitment has earned Summertime a loyal audience and a growing reputation as a "real" festival alternative.
The festival features three very distinct stages. The main stage is dedicated to Indie and Rock, the "Elektrojurte" (Electro Tent) hosts Techno and electronic acts in a dense club atmosphere, and the Acoustic stage showcases singer-songwriters and experimental solo projects. The audience can move between these worlds – each stage has its own climate, its own audience, and its own curatorial logic.
Confirmed for 2026, among others:
In 2025, Summertime received the helga! Festival Award – a German festival prize that honors special commitment, a unique profile, and a successful festival experience. The award confirms what the Wolfenbüttel audience has long known: this festival is put together with care, idealism, and great attention to detail, gaining recognition far beyond the region.
Seeliger Park on Schulwall is a park-like green space in the center of Wolfenbüttel. Its short distance to the train station and the city center makes it easy to reach; the park's size offers enough space for multiple stages without losing the intimate character that is so important to the festival.
The weekend is classically designed as a two-day event: Friday and Saturday with program blocks on all three stages, late-night sets in the Electro Tent, and festival infrastructure that is surprisingly professional despite its volunteer structure.
The 2025 award has given the festival renewed visibility. In 2026, the team aims to leverage this increased attention to bring new, ambitious acts to Wolfenbüttel without compromising its unique character.
Further acts and exact performance times will be announced by the festival team on summertimefestival.de.
