The 2025 anniversary edition celebrated 20 years of SummerSounds in the Neustadtswallanlagen. For three days, around 30,000 visitors experienced a diverse music programme of pop, funk, jazz, hip-hop, and electro — as always, free admission and without any obligation to consume.
The 20th edition of the SummerSounds Festival in 2025 was marked by its anniversary. Since 2006, the Neustadtswallanlagen have been transformed into a green open-air stage every June weekend, and in 2025, the approximately 30,000 visitors celebrated the two-decade-old format with a particularly rich programme. Pop, funk, jazz, indie, singer-songwriter, hip-hop, electronic music, and African beats graced the various stages, complemented by a flea market, family meadow, and donation drives. The festival remained true to its core principles: free admission, community-oriented, and financed through solidarity.
