The club grounds at Redder 17b are the venue for the annual Summer Tournament, which also attracts riders from all over the Schleswig-Holstein region.
State Amateur Sports Tournament
The tournament is held as a State Amateur Sports Tournament and includes competitions in two disciplines:
- Dressage β Competitions according to WBO (Amateur Sports Competition Rules) and LPO (Performance Testing Rules) up to Class L
- Jumping β Analogous to WBO and LPO up to Class L
The tournament is also a stop on the ETAS Cup β a regional equestrian sports series.
Rural Atmosphere
Anyone visiting the Summer Tournament in Bergenhusen experiences rural equestrian sports in a typical North German atmosphere: riding hall and outdoor arena, horse transporters parked on the surrounding meadows, families and club colleagues chatting at the edge of the arena. It is amateur sport in the best sense β competition without professional commercialism, supported by club life.
Bergenhusen β Stork Village and Equestrian Sports Destination
Bergenhusen is located in the Stapelholm marshland in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg. The village is famous for its white storks β more than 20 breeding pairs nest on the village houses every summer. The Reitergemeinschaft Bergenhusen complements this natural attraction with active club life centered around equestrian sports: from beginner rider badges to Class L.
