Overview

The 20th anniversary edition of the Summer Games Limburg took place from August 7th to 10th, 2025 – four days of family festival in Limburg's city center with a beach, sports tournaments, and live music. What was conceived in 2004 as a "festival for the whole family in the middle of the city in summer" had developed into a regional signature festival with thousands of visitors.

For the 20th-anniversary celebration in 2025, the Summer Games were particularly extensive: nearly 500 tons of sand transformed the Neumarkt into a beach, several sports competitions – including dragon boat races and the table football championship – took place over the weekend. From Thursday to Saturday evening, live bands performed on the main stage. All attractions were free of charge. The event was supported by Partimus GmbH and the City of Limburg.

Programme

Four days of programming in the classic format: beach and sports during the day, live concerts in the evening, family and children's activities spread throughout the weekend. The event marked the festival's 20th birthday since its premiere in 2004.
