Overview

The 2025 edition of the Summer Festival of the Lieberoser Heide took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Lieberose Castle Park. Over 30 exhibitors filled the Market of Opportunities, falconers showcased their birds of prey, and the Naturwelt Olympiad invited families to interactive stations. On stage, regional music groups alternated with presentations about the Naturwelt Foundation.

In August 2025, Lieberose Castle Park was once again transformed into a festival ground for nature conservation, regional culture, and summer ambiance. Visitors traveled from Berlin, Cottbus, and the entire surrounding region of southern Brandenburg. Die Bertianer and a second regional ensemble provided musical highlights, while falconers presented their birds of prey.

At the Market of Opportunities, over 30 exhibitors offered artisanal products — honey specialties, alpaca wool, Sorbian food items, homemade cakes, and regional wines. Families tried their hand at the Naturwelt Olympiad, while others followed guided tours to the Jamlitz artists' colony. Sorbian language courses recalled the Slavic history of Lower Lusatia.
