Garbsen's Kick-off to Summer
Garbsen, the largest city in the Hannover region north of the state capital, presents perhaps its most charming major city event with the Summer Festival. Embedded in the GarbsenLIVE! series, which brings concerts, comedy, dance festivals, and family programs to Rathausplatz over the summer months, the Summer Festival opens the season with a double header of two full event days.

The City of Garbsen has confirmed the lineup for 2026 as follows:
- Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 2:15 PM – Opening by the Mayor
- Saturday Afternoon – May und die Schlagerfürsten
- Saturday Evening – The Jetlags (60s and 70s classics)
- Sunday – The Beefees (Beatles tribute)
More Than Music
In addition to the stage, the Summer Festival focuses on atmosphere: gastronomic stands with regional and international specialties, beer gardens, crêperies, ice cream vendors, seating areas, and a children's program with bouncy castles, face painting, and hands-on activities. This creates a weekend that appeals equally to families, young adults, and seniors.
