The 2026 Summer Festival is the first highlight of the municipal GarbsenLIVE! series. For two days, visitors can expect a varied program of live music, gastronomy, and family offerings – free of charge and right in the city center.

Garbsen's Kick-off to Summer
Garbsen, the largest city in the Hannover region north of the state capital, presents perhaps its most charming major city event with the Summer Festival. Embedded in the GarbsenLIVE! series, which brings concerts, comedy, dance festivals, and family programs to Rathausplatz over the summer months, the Summer Festival opens the season with a double header of two full event days.

In addition to the stage, the Summer Festival focuses on atmosphere: gastronomic stands with regional and international specialties, beer gardens, crêperies, ice cream vendors, seating areas, and a children's program with bouncy castles, face painting, and hands-on activities.
