The 10th SuedLese in 2025 brought around 40 readings to Hamburg's south in March. Districts between Wilhelmsburg and Neugraben became a literary landscape for a month – a format that systematically increases the cultural visibility of Hamburg's south.

SuedLese 2025 – Retrospective

The 10th edition of SuedLese in March 2025 also celebrated its anniversary: ten years of literature in Hamburg's south, supported by stadtkultur hamburg e.V. and a network of local initiatives. Around 40 events were spread across bookstores, libraries, community cultural centers, and parish halls in Wilhelmsburg, Harburg, Heimfeld, Neugraben, and Moorburg. In the Harburg district and southern Hamburg, SuedLese is now considered a must-attend cultural event – a counterpoint to the city center-centric perception of Hamburg.
