50th Süderelbe Half Marathon through the Altes Land — Edition 2025

The 2025 edition was the last before the 50th anniversary in 2026 and once again confirmed the Süderelbe Half Marathon's position as the most important running event in Hamburg's south. Athletes from the greater Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein regions used the date as a late opportunity for half marathon personal bests before the end of the year.

The route through the Altes Land – Northern Germany's largest fruit-growing region – gives the race its own identity compared to the larger Hamburg marathon and half marathon formats in the city center. The quieter landscape, flat topography, and the straightforward organization by the HNT make the Süderelbe Half Marathon a consistently well-rated event in the North German popular running calendar in the state of Hamburg.
