Already in 2025, the weekly market at Südstadtcenter supplied Rostock's Südstadt district with fresh goods twice a week. On Tuesdays and Fridays, vendors offered bread, fish, meat, cheese, as well as fruit and vegetables – a firm part of the neighborhood's daily life.
The weekly market at Südstadtcenter also took place year-round in 2025. Every Tuesday and Friday, vendors gathered at the Südstadt-Center shopping center and offered an assortment of bread and baked goods, fish, meat and sausage products, cheese, as well as fruit and vegetables.
As the only regular market in the Südstadt district, it was a reliable place for supply and meeting for the residents. The direct contact between producers and customers made the market a small social meeting point in the neighborhood.
