Overview

In 2025, the Stuttgart Science Festival was held as a smaller interim format according to its schedule — the main festival edition alternates every two years in Stuttgart. In preparation for the 4th full edition in 2026, the participating universities, DLR, and Fraunhofer Institutes organized targeted programs for dialogue with the city on science. This kept the connection between the main editions alive and made the close integration of Stuttgart's scientific landscape with the city society visible.

Stuttgart Science Festival — Interim Year 2025

The Stuttgart Science Festival is held as a full edition every two years. In 2025, individual science dialogue events took place between the main editions — lectures, discussion evenings, and smaller interactive activities by Stuttgart's universities, Fraunhofer Institutes, and DLR.

These interim year events prepare for the major festival in 2026, deepen the topics of MINT and Medicine of the Future, and maintain the high level of dialogue between science and city society. The next major full edition will follow with the 4th Stuttgart Science Festival from June 26 to July 5, 2026.
