Edition 2025 — Medieval Advent Schloss Strünkede
The 2025 edition of the Medieval Advent Schloss Strünkede took place on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Advent weekends (Dec 5–7, Dec 12–14, Dec 19–21, 2025) in the park of the moated castle Strünkede in Herne. Around 40 craft stalls, living nativity scene, jesters, fire-eaters, illuminated castle. Open Thu/Fri 4–10 PM, Sat 12–10 PM, Sun 12–7 PM.
Visitor interest in 2025 was so high that the organizers decided to expand to all four Advent weekends in 2026. Even in 2025, the Medieval Advent attracted tens of thousands of visitors from Herne, the northern Ruhr area, and the surrounding Westphalian region.

Three Advent weekends with craft stalls, a living nativity scene, jester performances, and an illuminated castle.
