Premiere in Summer 2026
With the Gastronomic Street Market, Rinteln writes a new chapter in its festival calendar in the summer of 2026. The first edition is intended as the start of a series of events that will bring the street food concept to the city center of the Weser city. Food trucks and stalls offering culinary diversity from around the world will gather on the historic market square – from classic American pulled pork and Mexican tacos to Asian bao buns and Middle Eastern falafel, as well as regional specialties and vegetarian-vegan options.
Three Days of Streetfood
The festival starts on Friday, July 17th, at 5 PM and runs until 10 PM. On Saturday, July 18th, the stalls are open from 12 PM to 10 PM, and on Sunday, July 19th, from 12 PM to 8 PM. These extended opening hours allow working people, families, and Sunday visitors to enjoy the festival within their own suitable time frame.
Stage Program and Atmosphere
The stage program will feature live music from various genres. For the premiere, Pro Rinteln is engaging bands and solo artists from the region who will create the right atmosphere for a relaxed festival visit with their repertoire. Standing tables, seating, and atmospheric lighting in the evening invite visitors to linger.
Rinteln as a Festival Location
The historic market square, with its half-timbered houses and magnificent town hall, provides a particularly picturesque backdrop for the Streetfood Festival. Visitors can easily combine their festival visit with a stroll through the old town.
