Food Trucks in the Casinogarten
When grill smoke hangs in the air and music plays everywhere on the last weekend of July, it's clear: The Street Food Festival Viersen has opened. The 7th edition takes place in 2026 from July 24th to 26th – three days of food truck variety in the heart of the Lower Rhine city.
International Cuisine in a Small Space
The festival brings together food trucks from the entire region and beyond. Burgers, pulled pork, Asian street food classics like bao buns or banh mi, Mexican tacos, Indian curries, Turkish köfte, Italian pinsa, Franconian specialties, vegan bowls, sweets like crêpes, ice cream, donuts, and churros – the spectrum is deliberately broad. Those who come hungry leave full and with a few new favorites.
Casinogarten – The Ideal Setting
The Casinogarten is a park-like area in the center of Viersen, traditionally used for social gatherings and open-air events. With old trees, marquees, a small stage, and ample seating, it offers the perfect backdrop for relaxed food truck hopping. Accompanying live music, DJ sets, and activities for children are also featured.
Free Admission
Admission to the festival is free. You only pay for what you eat or drink at the trucks. This makes the format ideal for spontaneous visits – from a short after-work stop on Friday evening to a longer family visit on Saturday or Sunday.
Lower Rhine Classic
The Street Food Festival is part of a tour that visits several locations in North Rhine-Westphalia during the summer – Viersen has been a fixed date in the calendar for years. The district of Viersen, with its mix of city and countryside, proximity to the Netherlands, and Lower Rhine lifestyle, suits the relaxed character of the festival.
