Overview

The Street Food Festival Karlsruhe 2025 took place on the last weekend of August at the Festplatz. Around 40 food trucks presented international specialties — from Vietnamese Banh Mi to vegan burgers to Argentinian Empanadas. Live music, bar stands, and Karlsruhe's Hoepfner beer attracted thousands of visitors to the congress district between the Stadthalle and Schwarzwaldhalle.

The Karlsruhe edition 2025 traditionally took place on the last weekend of August. Despite changeable summer weather, the festival attracted a broad audience from Karlsruhe, Pforzheim, Ettlingen, and the neighboring Alsace. In 2025, the food truck selection emphasized the vegan segment — pulled jackfruit burgers, vegan bao, bowls made from lentils and chickpeas, and plant-based ice cream.

On stage, DJ sets alternated with acoustic acts. Karlsruhe's Hoepfner beer and wines from the neighboring Markgräflerland complemented the culinary offerings. Children enjoyed a kids' area with a bouncy castle and games, and the atmosphere remained consistently familiar and relaxed — a characteristic of the “The Original” series.
