The 23rd edition of the Sternschnuppenmarkt ran from Nov 25 to Dec 23, 2025, on Schlossplatz and Marktkirche, with a children's area at Luisenplatz and a Ferris wheel at Mauritiusplatz. Opening with the lighting of the lily illuminations on November 25.

2025 marked the 23rd edition of the Sternschnuppenmarkt. Over 130 stalls, continuous stage program with choirs and nativity plays, the city nativity scene in front of the Christmas tree, and the distinctive lily illuminations once again characterized the event. At Mauritiusplatz, the 45m Ferris wheel turned, and in the Kurhaus stood the tree made of over 2,000 red poinsettias.

Programme

Standard program for Sternschnuppenmarkt years: 130+ stalls, stage program, Advent calendar at the town hall, city nativity scene, nativity plays in the Marktkirche, children's market at Luisenplatz until the end of December, Ferris wheel and WinterStubb at Mauritiusplatz, Poinsettia tree in the Kurhaus. Additional bus services by ESWE Verkehr.
