Overview

The Sternenklang Festival 2025 took place, as every year, in mid-June at Niederburg Kranichfeld — three festival days featuring Folk-Metal and Medieval Rock concerts, a medieval market, a fire show, historical combat displays, and archery. The castle setting with its keep provided a special atmosphere for the stage acts and camp life.

Sternenklang Festival 2025 at Niederburg

As every year, the gates of Niederburg Kranichfeld opened for three festival days in 2025. Folk-Metal and Medieval Rock bands from Germany and Europe performed, and the medieval market attracted onlookers and medieval enthusiasts from all over Thuringia. Historical combat displays by knight and mercenary groups, archery, blacksmithing demonstrations, and the grand evening fire show completed the program. The festival has established itself in recent years as a major event in the Central German festival calendar.
