Overview

Back in 2025, Sternberg celebrated its State Rapeseed Blossom Festival with the tried-and-tested three-day programme. The parade, royal crowning, open-air parties, and a family programme attracted numerous guests from the Sternberg Lake District and all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to the town centre during the rapeseed blossom season.

The 2025 edition of the Landesrapsblütenfest also followed the structure developed over the years: Friday evening kicked off with an open-air party, Saturday concentrated the weekend's highlight with the parade, official opening, and royal crowning, and Sunday concluded with a church service, morning music gathering, and closing concerts.

Showmen and traders lined Sternberg's town centre, agricultural demonstrations recalled the importance of rapeseed cultivation, and live bands provided the atmosphere. The festival once again confirmed its reputation as the largest Volksfest in the small town of the Sternberger Seenland.
