Steele Karibisch 2025 transformed Kaiser-Otto-Platz into a Caribbean beach landscape for three days. Caribbean live bands, rum tasting, beach volleyball, treasure hunt for children, and Caribbean cuisine characterized a weekend that drew thousands of visitors to Essen-Steele. Free admission.
2025 Review
In 2025, the proven Caribbean concept worked smoothly again: white sand, palm trees, bars, live music, and cocktail atmosphere at Kaiser-Otto-Platz. Families benefited from the daytime programs, while adults found live concerts and a selection of cocktails in the evenings.
Event Format
Steele Karibisch is part of the NRW-wide "Caribbean Festivals" series by Beach-Projekt (Street Beach Festivals), which organizes similar festivals in around 20 NRW cities. Steele is one of the largest stops.
