Overview

The Starzach-Fest is a wandering community festival that does not take place in full scale every year. In 2025, numerous smaller club festivals were organized in the five sub-districts of Bierlingen, Border, Felldorf, Sulzau, and Wachendorf – however, the big Starzach-Fest was prepared for 2026 in Sulzau.

The Starzach-Fest is a wandering community festival that chooses one of the five sub-districts (Bierlingen, Border, Felldorf, Sulzau, Wachendorf) as host every few years. In interim years – like 2025 – no main edition takes place; instead, the individual sub-districts celebrate their local club festivals, May festivals, village festivals, and music association evenings. The Starzach municipal council also used 2025 for intensive discussions about the budget, location, and safety of the 2026 edition in Sulzau, which was subsequently officially approved.
