Edition 2025 — Stänichä Kerwa
The Stänichä Kerwa 2025 took place from August 14 to 18, traditionally on the third weekend of August, around the market square of Steinach. For five days, locals and guests celebrated the largest Kirchweih festival in the Sonneberg district with a festival tent, amusement rides, a parade on Sunday, and a grand fireworks display on Monday evening.
The 2025 edition followed the usual structure of the Steinach Kirchweih: festive opening on Thursday, extensive festival tent operations over the weekend with bands and brass bands from the region, the traditional parade on Sunday afternoon with numerous clubs and decorated floats, and the grand fireworks display on Monday evening as a spectacular finale.
Over 20 amusement rides and more than 120 market stalls enlivened the market square, and the festival tent of the town of Steinach was filled to capacity on several evenings. The Kerwa once again underscored its importance as the most significant summer festival in the southern Thuringian Sonneberg district.
