Stadtoldendorf Christmas World

The smallest town in the Holzminden district knows how to celebrate. With the Stadtoldendorf Christmas World, the municipality annually sets an Advent signal that radiates far beyond the town's borders. The eleventh edition in 2026 will take place from November 27 to 29 and presents the market square in its most beautiful atmosphere.

Three Days of Advent Magic

The huts and stalls open as early as Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM. Mulled wine, bratwurst, roasted almonds, and handicrafts from regional exhibitors invite you to stroll. Until 9:00 PM, visitors can enjoy the play of lights and social encounters against a festive backdrop.

Stage Program and Children's Attractions

A stage in the market square brings the program to life: school choirs, music groups from the municipality, and club performances alternate. For children, there are hands-on activities, a visit from Santa Claus, and small carousels. This makes the Christmas World a family experience that brings different generations together.

First Advent Sunday as a Festive Conclusion

On Sunday, November 29, 2026—the first Advent Sunday—the Christmas World runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The early closing respects the contemplative character of the first Advent Sunday and offers everyone who hasn't been yet a last opportunity to immerse themselves in the Advent mood.

The event is supported by the commitment of the town of Stadtoldendorf, the administrative district of Eschershausen-Stadtoldendorf, and numerous volunteers. This joint effort makes the Christmas World an authentic town experience.
