Overview

The 2025 Stadtfest Vilshofen once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the Danube valley and the wider region to the Lower Bavarian Three-Rivers City. Three days of festival atmosphere around the historic Stadtplatz with live music, catering, and family activities. For years, the Stadtfest has been one of the largest and best-known city festivals in Lower Bavaria and forms the basis for the expanded anniversary edition in 2026.

The 2025 edition ran in the classic format on Vilshofen's Stadtplatz. Several stages, regional bands, Bavarian catering, family activities — the proven mix filled the city center. Preparations for the 2026 anniversary year were already in full swing.

Vilshofen's Stadtfest benefits from its attractive location between the Danube, Vils, and Wolfach rivers. Danube cycle tourists, Lower Bavarian day-trippers, and the people of Vilshofen themselves ensure a relaxed, lively festival atmosphere year after year — without the excessive tourism that burdens other Bavarian city festivals.
