Overview
The Stadtfest Stolpen 2025 brought the castle town in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district to life. Polenztaler Jagdhornbläser, Elferzug, crafts, and old German cuisine characterized the weekend, confirming the festival's nature as a sustainable civic celebration beyond mass tourist formats.
The 2025 edition followed the proven concept: three days of festivities, with a focus on crafts, gastronomy, and a social and open program. The town of Stolpen coordinated the festival together with local clubs and initiatives.
A characteristic of the Stadtfest Stolpen is its close connection to the castle: while the festival takes place in the market square and alleys, Stolpen Castle is open for visits — many visitors combine both for a full-day excursion from Dresden or nearby Pirna.
