50,000 Guests at the Foot of the Deister

Barsinghausen, one of the largest towns in the Hannover region with almost 35,000 inhabitants, is located on the northern slope of the Deister hills. The town festival is one of the social highlights of the year, attracting around 50,000 visitors to the city center each year – from the town, the Hannover region, and beyond.

Three Stages, Over 40 Acts

The concept relies on parallel stages with different musical profiles: Rock and Pop on the main stage, Schlager and cover bands on the second stage, regional acts and newcomers on the third. Confirmed for 2026:

• Goodbeats – Live cover band
• Helene Fischer Double – Schlager show
• BÄM – Rock band
• Tote Ärzte – Die Toten Hosen and Die Ärzte tribute band

Over 40 additional acts complete the lineup; the full program will be published by the Stadtfest team on stadtfest-basche.de.

Family Program

• Saturday – Children's flea market
• Children's festival at Volkershof – Hands-on activities, bouncy castles, face painting
• Children's concert – especially for younger visitors

Tombola and Marksmen

A tombola with prizes worth a total of around €30,000 has been a hallmark of the town festival for years. Tickets are sold during the festival; the draw takes place at set times. Also traditional: the appearance of the marksmen, whose shots mark the opening.

Organization

The town festival is organized by a volunteer Stadtfest team in close cooperation with the City of Barsinghausen. The non-profit proceeds from the tombola and other activities flow into local projects.
