Summer Highlight in the Spa Town at the Deister

The Stadtfest Bad Münder is one of the largest summer events in the southern Lower Saxony Weser Uplands. The organizer is the town of Bad Münder am Deister together with the city marketing department, local clubs, and restaurateurs. Initial information about the 2026 program was released in February – the dates from July 31st to August 2nd traditionally fall on the last weekend of July.

Steinhof as the Central Festival Site

The Steinhof forms the heart of Bad Münder and is the natural focal point of the Stadtfest. The main stage will be set up here, and most of the stalls will be concentrated around the square. The adjacent streets Münder Straße, Hauptstraße, and Bahnhofstraße will be closed to traffic and expanded into a festival mile.

Live Music on Several Stages

Local and supra-regional bands will play for three days. The spectrum ranges from rock cover bands and Schlager singers to acoustic duos and DJ sets in the evenings. Several stages allow for a parallel program: while a larger band plays on the main stage, smaller stages in side streets provide variety. The exact selection of acts will be announced by the organizer in the summer of 2026.

Culinary Delights and Club Stalls

Clubs from Bad Münder and its districts will operate food and drink stalls. Classic Stadtfest specialties – bratwurst, fries, crêpes, steaks, potato pancakes – will be on the menu, as well as international offerings, vegetarian options, and sweets. Draft beer, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks will be served at several bars.

Family and Children's Program

There is a dedicated area for families with bouncy castles, face painting, craft stations, a swing chain, and small carousels. Clubs such as the scouts, sports clubs, and church communities offer hands-on activities. The program is completely child-friendly during the day; in the evenings, the focus shifts to the musical highlights.

Bad Münder — Between Deister and Süntel

Bad Münder am Deister is located in the Hameln-Pyrmont district, framed by the Deister ridge to the north and the Süntel to the south. As a brine spa town, it attracts spa guests all year round. The Stadtfest is the highlight of the summer program and one of the most important occasions for the community to celebrate together.
