Stadtbühne Vohenstrauß 2025 — Transition Period

The year 2025 was a transitional year for the Stadtbühne Vohenstrauß: after the financial challenges of the previous season, Johannes Pausch took over the chairmanship of the association and began the conceptual and organizational preparations for the Kultursommer 2026.

The central idea: the Stadtbühne returns to its historical roots and will once again perform in the castle garden of Friedrichsburg. In parallel, the ensemble worked on the productions for 2026 — the family play "Rapunzel" (stage adaptation by Pausch, music by Franz Adam) and the Bavarian comedy "Der Geisterbräu" by Joseph Maria Lutz. Preliminary reports in the Upper Palatinate media (Oberpfalzecho, Onetz) confirmed the financial and programmatic turnaround, which culminates publicly with the 2026 Kultursommer edition.
