Edition 2025 — Giant Kite Festival
The 12th edition of the STADT UND LAND Giant Kite Festival took place in September 2025 on Tempelhofer Feld. On one festival day from 11 am to 8 pm, giant kites, stunt kite demonstrations, a stage program, and family activities filled the sky and the field. STADT UND LAND housing company remained the organizer, and admission was free.
12th Edition — A Fixed Date in the Berlin Calendar
The 12th edition in 2025 confirmed the festival's status as one of Berlin's most popular family events: over a long festival day, giant kites soared in the sky, world and European champions demonstrated stunt kite tricks, and families filled Tempelhofer Feld for a free day program.
Family and Community Festival
The event remains true to the Tempelhof tradition in its programming: a festival area that is open to everyone and where urban actors are visible – here, the state-owned STADT UND LAND housing company as the organizer.
