Overview

The Spreewälder Sagennacht also took place at Schlossberg Burg on Whitsun 2025. The Sorbian National Ensemble performed its Whitsun play with ballet, choir, and soloists on the open-air stage, followed by the traditional fireworks at the end of each performance. Organisers: Burg (Spreewald) Tourist Association and Sorbian National Ensemble.

The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition of the Spreewälder Sagennacht during the Whitsun weekend. With its magnificent natural setting at Schlossberg, the professional open-air stage, and the Sorbian National Ensemble as the central producer, the Sagennacht is one of Brandenburg's most distinguished summer theatre events.

As every year, the audience came from the Spreewald, Berlin, Dresden, and all over East Germany — a mix of Spreewald lovers, theatre enthusiasts, and tourists spending the Whitsun weekend in the biosphere reserve.
