Edition 2025 — Spreewälder Gurkentag
The Spreewälder Gurkentag 2025 took place as usual in early August at the Höllberghof. Around 30 exhibitors from the Spreewald presented their cucumber specialities, regional products, and traditional crafts. Folklore, traditional craft demonstrations, and a children's programme marked the day from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The Spreewälder Gurkentag 2025 once again confirmed its concept: a deliberately regional festival at the traditional Höllberghof farm between Langengrassau and Wüstermarke. Spreewald cucumber farms, beekeepers, linseed oil and horseradish producers, as well as craft businesses were represented. Traditional craft demonstrations (flax processing, pickling art) and Sorbian-Wendish folklore groups completed the programme. Admission was free as always, and the Spreewaldverein e.V. organised the event.
