Sports Gathering Instead of Competition

For over 25 years, the Sportive Landpartie Wendland has been a unique format in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district: not a competition, but an open community sports event inviting everyone to try new sports. The 27th edition will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Six Sports Stations

Several sports venues and clubs in the Gartow region are opening their doors:

• TuS Gorleben — Indoor sports and outdoor activities
• TC Gartow — Tennis taster sessions and games
• Schützengilde Gartow — Target shooting under guidance
• Gartow Lake: Dragon boat racing and sailing
• SV Gartow — Football, athletics, other disciplines
• TuS Schnackenburg — Club sports on the Elbe

Participate Instead of Watching

The concept is accessible: anyone interested can drop by any station, try a sport, get guidance from the clubs, and then move on to the next. Those who have visited at least 5 stations will receive a T-shirt as a souvenir of the sporty Sunday.

Closing at the Schützenplatz

At 3:30 PM, all participants will gather at the Schützenplatz Gartow for the closing ceremony: T-shirt distribution, club discussions, and a relaxed atmosphere. A format that ideally combines sports, club life, and rural community.

Organizers

The Sportive Landpartie is organized by the KreisSportBund Lüchow-Dannenberg in cooperation with SV Gartow. All listed clubs are involved — a true community effort from the sports scene in eastern Wendland.
