Overview

The 2025 edition of the Sport and Culture Week was the prelude to the major anniversary season of 2026. Club presentations, band performances, and participatory activities characterized the week at the open-air stage. Admission to most programs was free, organized by SKK Spremberg and local clubs.

The previous year's edition in 2025 already established the format that will be enhanced for the 2026 anniversary: sports during the day, stage program in the evenings, with open-stage performances by local bands in between. Around 3,000 visitors came to the open-air stage over the course of the week. The concept has established itself in Lusatia and is now an integral part of Spremberg's summer program.

In 2025, the week was dedicated to preparations for the 725th city anniversary in 2026 — many clubs were already rehearsing their contributions for the big anniversary year.
