Edition 2025 — SPIELFELD Rostock
In 2025, the Volkstheater Rostock once again dedicated several weeks of theatre to young audiences with the SPIELFELD festival. Premieres, repertoire pieces, family concerts, and workshops, as well as the original productions by the theatre clubs, shaped the programme from May to July.
The 2025 edition continued the young festival format of the Volkstheater Rostock. As usual, SPIELFELD combined premieres and repertoire pieces for children and adolescents with participatory formats. The Ateliertheater became the stage for the house's theatre clubs, where children, adolescents, and young adults presented the pieces they had developed over the season. The programme was supplemented by guest performances from schools and theatre groups from the city and region, as well as workshops that invited participation.
