Overview

Already in 2025, the Sparkassen Rügenbrücken-Marathon attracted numerous runners to Stralsund. The routes, from the marathon to the children's run, led across the Rügen Bridge, which was closed to traffic, accompanied by the unique scenery of the Strelasund and the World Heritage City.

The Sparkassen Rügenbrücken-Marathon has been one of the largest running events in northeastern Germany for many editions. In 2025 too, all routes led across the Rügen Bridge, which was closed to car traffic for this purpose.

As usual, the organizers offered a wide range of competitions – from the marathon, half marathon, and shorter runs to walking routes and a children's run. All finishers received a medal and a certificate. The event confirmed the race's firm place in the northern German sports calendar and prepared for the 18th edition in 2026.
